What this policy covers
This policy applies to HelpCraft.shop. Merchant storefronts and Customer Account Help Centers are separate Shopify surfaces and are not covered by the HelpCraft.shop analytics setting.
Necessary cookies
The public website may store a first-party hc_cookie_consent cookie so it can remember whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. Internal /admin sessions use a separate secure session cookie for authorized HelpCraft staff.
Analytics cookies
When Google Analytics 4 is enabled and you choose Accept analytics, Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and a stream-specific _ga_* cookie to measure visits and usage. HelpCraft does not load the GA4 tag before analytics consent is granted.
Your choice
You can accept analytics or reject optional cookies from the consent banner. You can reopen Cookie settings from the site footer and change your choice at any time. When analytics is rejected after previously being accepted, HelpCraft also attempts to remove first-party Google Analytics cookies from HelpCraft.shop. Rejecting analytics does not prevent access to HelpCraft.shop.
Retention
The HelpCraft consent cookie is configured for up to one year. Google Analytics cookie retention is governed by the active GA4 property configuration and Google's product behavior.
